The author of the book of Hebrews has this to say about gathering as Christians: Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-24)
As we gather together as a body of believers, we tap into something so much deeper than a mere social club: we reaffirm our membership in the diverse Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). The enemy is very good at convincing us why we should skip church, or getting us to justify why we’re absent. There are some very legitimate reasons to not be able to attend in person (health concerns, travel safety, etc), but if the question comes to “should I go to church or not,” the answer should be “Let’s Go!” Pastor Jared
