How much are we willing to endure for our faith?
Hebrews 12:1b-4 tells us this: Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such hostility from sinners against himself, so that you won’t grow weary and give up. In struggling against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. This passage identifies Jesus as “the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.” The core aspect of our faith is to develop a relationship with Jesus and learn to live the way He did. Looking at His life, ministry, and love leads us to accepting whatever the world has to throw at us, knowing that no matter what we go through in this life, they did worse to Him. Keep fighting the good fight! Pastor Jared
