Need Prayer From Our Pastors? Click Here
Some of you may have seen a video I shared on my Facebook page. Waist deep in leftover floodwaters some of my sisters and brothers in Christ stopped scooping floodwater and searching for things lost to sing praises. “Hau sei la tauk tan ita nee” they sang (I will not fear because you are with me.) They sang at the top of their lungs. So much to be sad about, so much lost, so much to be scared about and yet they stopped to praise. Many lives were lost in the floods. We have now heard from our family in East Timor, and from our churches, all are safe. All are struggling to find food, some have unimaginable amounts of clean up to do to their homes, others have lost their homes altogether. But they are praising Him through and after this storm.
I don’t know what storm you’re currently going through, or what is flooding your hearts, but I pray when you find yourself passing through deep waters, you will be able to stop like our Timor Christian brothers and sisters and sing praises to Him, our Rescuer, our Deliver and remember He is always with you. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2 Pastor Delinda
