Need Prayer From Our Pastors? Click Here
Sometimes we find ourselves praying the same prayer over and over again. We know God hears our prayers. We know our prayers matter. We even know that God has a plan for us based on his wisdom and knowledge. Yet the same prayer is prayed over and over again. And we keep waiting for him to reveal his answer.
Our Father knows our needs and concerns. He hears our hearts and responds in his perfect timing. Jesus reminds us of this. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:9-11) As a Dad, I love to give my kids what they ask for. However, sometimes I know what they need better than they do. I know what they can handle. I know if they are ready to receive it. So if our human parental instincts are loving and generous, then our heavenly Father’s must be beyond our imagination! God always wants what’s best for his children. We may not get what we ask for, but we always get what’s in our best interests. Today, remember that your Heavenly Father loves you and will give you what you need. -Pastor Michael
