Dear Church Family:
YOU CAN smile in the storm! David placed his trust in the Lord when he was afraid; “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear”. Corrie Ten Boom said: “Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength.” As Christ led his disciples into the boat he emphasized “Let us pass over unto the other side...he was in the ship", and today Christ is in the boat of life with us. But, He has only one destination with us; to pass to the other side. The first verse of a hymn written by John Newton; titled “Begone, Unbelief”, purposes in our heart a reason to smile. Begone, unbelief, My Savior is near, And for my relief will surely appear; By prayer let me wrestle, And He will perform; With Christ in the vessel, I smile at the storm. So SMILE at the storm, and pass the smile on to someone else today! Pastor Jerry
