How is the Christian Expected to use their freedom? In Galatians 5:1, Paul says "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." And again in verses 13 and 14, "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The sacrifice of Christ gives us freedom from the effects of sin from adherence to the Old Testament law. That is not the same as having freedom to do whatever we want whenever we want. As the image bearer of God, take your freedom from sin into the world, and be an image of what God's liberation can be!
