When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God! Isaiah 43:2

In 1961 Ben E King wrote and recorded a song with theses lyrics: when the night has come and the land is dark and the moon is the only light we’ll see…No, I won’t be afraid, Oh, I won’t be afraid. Just as long as you stand, stand by me.
The song went on to become the 6th highest earning song of all time! According to King, the song was inspired by a spiritual composition called Stand by me Father.
What a sense of relief flows through our minds and spirits when we realize our Father is doing just that. Standing by us! He has not forgotten, neglected or ignored our situation or status in life. He is right there, interceding, protecting and empowering us.
So when your night is dark and you cannot see a moon of hope, take comfort! He is standing, yes standing by you!
