Day 21: PRAYER

Prayer is powerful. Here are some things to consider when praying: God can do all things; there is nothing impossible for Him.

-
Luke 1:37- “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Prayer to God should be consistent, offered in faith, within the will of God, and for the glory of God.

  • -  Luke 18:1 (consistent)- “And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.”

  • -  James 1:5 (faith) – “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

  • -  Matthew 6:10 (within God’s will)- “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

  • -  John 14:13–14 (God’s glory)- “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

God hears the prayers of His children. When we pray, God promises to listen.

Psalm 18:6- “In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His ears.”

God is the power behind prayer. There are no special words to say or formula to make God answer our prayers. The power is not in how often we pray. The power of prayer strictly comes from God, not because of who we are but because of who He is. Prayer places us in contact with our Creator, and we should expect results. God grants our petitions or denies our requests according to His will and timing.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for these past 21 days. Thank you for revealing yourself to me and for teaching me. Help me to connect with you more and more every day. Amen.

If all went well, this is the 21st day of the prayer guide. If you have read this over the past few weeks, you have shown some discipline. I hope that you were able to connect with God in a way that you never have before.

Supposedly it takes 21 days to develop a habit, and it takes 21 more days to make it a part of your routine. If you want prayer to be a part of your daily life, go through this prayer guide once more. You will be able to connect with God in a whole new way. That is our prayer for you. If you keep a journal, you can go back and review how God is moving in your life. We hope you have enjoyed the past 21 days and have grown in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
