Dear Church Family:James, the brother of Jesus, puts it like this:
“When all kinds of trials and temptations crowd into your life, don’t resent them as intruders. Welcome them as friends. Realize they serve to produce in you the quality of endurance.” Adversity. Sickness. Hardship. Disruption. These words appear to be the daily diet of most headlines these days. We cry, Yuck! The writers of scripture seem to view these things through a whole new set of rose-colored spectacles. The Greek word James uses for trial is peirasmois. It literally means a struggle that will reveal one’s true character. It’s like how a stress test reveals the state of your physical heart. This revealing is actually a form of God’s mercy. God knows that there is an actual joy that comes from discovering the truth about ourselves. As we face these challenging days ahead may we consider these questions with joy. God, where do You want to be at work in surprising ways? God, how could I partner together with You in these trials right where I am? Pastor Donny Update From WWCN: We know many had troubles with our live stream this past Sunday. As we attempt to navigate the world live streaming, we are working hard to find the best solution so we can gather together online. This Sunday, we will attempt to stream our services to both Facebook and YouTube. At 9:00, we will stream to our YouTube Channel. At 11:00 we will stream to our YouTube Channel as well as our Facebook Page. As aways, we will have our broadcast with WIBW at 10:30. Additionally, if there are technical difficulties, you can tune into our YouTube channel and we will have the whole service posted by 5:00 PM. Thank you for your patience and for your grace! We’re all in this together! -Pastor Michael To access our live stream @ 11:00 on Facebook:
If any of you have stories of how God has supplied your need, blessed you, or how you have ministered to those around you, please send them to the church's email and I will forward them on to Traci and Pastor Michael. We want to hear your God Stories! These are indeed challenging days, but also days of great opportunity to spread the message of hope which can only be found in Jesus Christ. If you are experiencing a spiritual need, or just need someone to talk to, our pastoral staff is here to help. You can contact any of our pastoral staff or you can also call the church office at 273-2248. It is being answered 24/7.
